A Tradition of Togetherness

 

Our volunteer work sessions have grown from small local gatherings to what we now call an Annual Bee Fest, our favorite event of the year. Every summer, we gather for a weekend filled with activities that balance hard work and heartwarming fun. Volunteers from all over join forces to advance our mission, share meals, enjoy recreational activities, and celebrate the incredible impact we make together. All local and remote volunteers are welcome to join in this time together.

We need your support to keep this beloved tradition alive. Donations are essential to cover the costs of organizing the weekend, including accommodations, meals, and materials. Your contribution, no matter the size, helps us continue to create a space where volunteers can connect, recharge, and recommit to our mission.

 

What to Expect

 

• Work: Collaborate on important projects and initiatives that drive our mission forward. Process mail and applications that arrive in our PO Box.
• Eat: Experience the joy of sharing food with friends.
• Play: Engage in fun activities that foster team spirit and relaxation.
• Share letters and art from prisoners: Share what incarcerated people write to us, sometimes funny, sometimes sad, and always heartfelt and touching.
• Support: Offer and receive emotional support, encouragement, and appreciation from fellow volunteers.
